Intro to Drawing: Project 1
Most Helpful Warm Up
In my Opinion, the most helpful warm up for me was the "Pen-Cube" warm up. In this warm up, the class had to draw four different cubes and we learned the different techniques there were to making objects look three dimensional using value. The four methods were hatching, cross hatching, random line, and stippling. I was able to incorporate some of these techniques into my pen drawing. Im sure that I will use this in future art projects as well.
Composition and Value
Composition: Composition is the placement or arrangement of different objects and/or elements of art that are used to make an individual object. One object in a piece of art can be composed of different things.
Value: Value is the scale of how light or dark something is, starting from white being the lightest, and black being that darkest. This is mainly used in art pieces to make an object appear to be three dimensional.
